ETFs Explained Simply
Lately, one thing keeps coming up in my 1-on-1 investing mentorship calls: a lot of beginner investors are being told, “Just invest in ETFs.”
And on paper, that sounds easy…
But then you open your investing app, type in “ETF”, and suddenly you’re staring at a bunch of random ticker symbols, different names, different fees, and different returns… and now something that was supposed to feel simple feels confusing again.
That’s where a lot of people get stuck.
In simple terms, an ETF is a basket of investments you can buy in one package. Instead of putting all your money into one stock, it lets you spread your money across a mix of companies, sectors, or even countries, all at once.
That’s a big part of why ETFs are so popular, especially for beginners.
But here’s the part most people don’t explain:
💡 How to Invest with ETFs
Not all ETFs are the same Femi,.
And if you don’t know what’s actually inside the ETF, what it costs, or whether it fits your goals, it’s very easy to buy something just because it looks popular… not because it’s actually right for you.
That’s why understanding ETFs matters.
Because successful investors don’t just need to know that ETFs exist… they need to know how to think about them properly before putting their money in.
And that’s whyI released a YouTube video where I break this down in a simple, beginner-friendly way, including:
what ETFs are
why people use them
and what to look for before buying one.
